This weekend I was in the cookie making mood! I'm a huge fan of Chocolate Chip Cookies but wanted something a little different. Then it hit me a few weeks ago I was watching Pioneer Woman. She made Malt Chocolate Chip Cookies they looked so YUMMY! I had to try them.
Although the cookie were meant to be flat I wanted my to have some more depth to them so I tweaked the recipe but they still came out with the same results. The cookies were still good I couldn't get enough of them and I gave a lot away.
I still interested in achieving a thicker cookie so I plan to make these again with more tweaking until I get them the way I want them. I read some where that I could add more flour. I'm not sure what's causing them to come out so flat but I'm going to get to the bottom of it. LOL. Don't get me wrong these are good the way they are. I've never posted recipes before but I'll post the link to Pioneer Woman for you guys to try. I will not post mine until my tweaking is complete for those who would like a thicker cookie. And yes these are great as an ice cream sandwich. I had one last night and I had to force myself from getting another one!
Malted Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies
Things I would do different/and keep the same: Maybe adding baking powder and a little bit more flour to see if I can get a thicker cookie. I did cut out some of the baking soda and salt in her recipe. I used Chocolate Malted Milk instead of the Original Flavor she has listed.
